Last month we attended InfoComm 2023 exhibition. This is the biggest A/V exhibition in North America, which this time took place at Orlando, Florida, U.S.A. As every year, the place was huge, many exhibitors and visitors attended. Yes. It is post-COVID and people aren’t afraid to visit trade shows anymore. Well, at least most of them.
Our digital signage software booth was there, as NoviSign keeps participating at this important expo every year, as in other exhibitions. We presented LCD, LED, remote HTTP events, RFID reader and events triggering in our booth. You can see that in the following video:
One of favorite booths there was Philips booth, not because they are one of our top hardware manufacturer partners, but mainly because of the special barista app we designed especially for their coffee corner, as you can see in this video:
During the expo we explored new hardware and found that Novastar – the biggest world manufacturer of LED controllers and screens has Android based controllers where you can install NoviSign’s Android APK and run it directly from there just like from a regular Android box. See that in this video:
Wandering around we also visited Moka TCL booth, a hardware manufacturer from China, a subsidiary of TCL, which we have cooperation with them as well. They have a variety of smart (SoC) Android based displays that come in several sizes and provide good solution for digital signage hardware. See that in this video:
Now, I cannot ignore Samsung. Everybody goes and must see what Samsung has. Every year. So we visited Samsung’s booth to see what’s going on. It was worth it, as in every year. They usually have one of the biggest 2 booths in the whole tradeshow (the other one goes to their local competitor LG). Here is what we saw there:
Well, you cannot go to Samsung without going to LG. Personally I like their stuff much more than several others. They always have some WOW effects in their booth which makes the visiting experience worth it in all aspects. So, here is what I saw at LG:
Last but not least is a visit at Hisense, another hardware partner of NoviSign with interesting smart displays, mainly Android. That was first time for me to come face to face with Android 13 (!). Here is the documentation for that, lol:
So, I hope I gave you the right picture. But my recommendation: if you’re in the audio/video or digital signage industry, InfoComm expo is the right place for you to visit. Every year: one year at Las Vegas and the other year at Orlando.
See you next time,
